About

I’m Jessica Cooke – a Chartered Accountant and European Financial Advisor with over 20 years’ experience in global corporations, overseeing billion-dollar budgets at companies including Amazon, Amway, and AGL.

I’ve led strategic initiatives, worked within complex financial systems, and translated finance for executives and non-financial teams alike. That corporate grounding means I understand how money decisions really get made – and what both organisations and individuals actually need to move forward.

But here’s the twist.

I don’t do finance the boring, complicated way.

I’m the founder of DEFINANCE, where deep expertise meets a progressive, playful approach to money. I think differently about finance, I make it engaging, and – most importantly – I make it easy to act on.

I strip money back to what really matters, so it becomes a practical tool for freedom, choice, and possibility – not something that creates fear, pressure, or paralysis.

Whether I’m supporting women to rewrite old money stories or helping organisations build meaningful financial wellbeing in the workplace, my work is grounded in financial defiance: challenging unhelpful norms, cutting through unnecessary complexity, and building confidence people can actually use.
